This painting is inspired by the intensity of the distractions that shout at us from every angle and overwhelm us, yet the unending peace offered to us by God in the midst. Learning to rest in God’s peace even when chaos surrounds us is one of the hardest things to do in this crazy world, yet it is one of the most important elements in staying connected to God and His perfect peace. ​

The peaceful blues and greens and waterfall effect with the use of pallet knife were used to help visually represent the serenity offered by this peace mentioned in Isaiah.
